EVE Energy Co., Ltd., usually referred to as EVE, is a China-based company, established in 2001 and listed on Shenzhen Growth Enterprise Market in 2009,
principally engaged in development, manufacture and distribution of lithium batteries, including lifepo4 cells and other lithium ion cells and batteries.
For lifepo4 prismatic cells, obviously, they have such hot-selling models as MB31 - 3.2V 314Ah, LF304 - 3.2V 304Ah, LF280K - 3.2V 280Ah, LF230 - 3.2V 230Ah etc.
Dangerous Goods
Ⅰ. Are lithium batteries dangerous goods?
Yes. Lithium batteries are classified as Class 9 Miscellaneous Dangerous Goods under international and national transportation regulations (such as the IATA DGR for air transport).
They are considered hazardous material (“hazmat”) for shipping because they pose a risk of:
- Short Circuit: Which can lead to overheating.
- Fire: If damaged, defective, or improperly packaged, they can catch fire.
- Explosion: A fire can lead to a rapid release of energy.
Consequently, their shipment is strictly governed by specific packaging, labeling, documentation, and quantity restrictions based on the mode of transport (air, sea, ground).
Ⅱ. Why is the shipping cost for lithium batteries higher?
Shipping costs for lithium batteries are high due to the significant risks and specialized handling they require.

- Limited Carrier Options & Segregation: Fewer carriers accept lithium batteries, and they often must be stored separately, adding logistical complexity.
